Yaas- Landfall Started
Cyclone Yaas landfall all process has commenced around 0900 hrs between the north of Dhamra and south of Balasore close around Bahanaga block coast, the process to continue for 3-4 hours to complete. Maximum impact to be in Balasore and Bhadrak. Wind speed to be about 100-120kmph in Mayurbhanj. Cyclone Yaas is moving at a speed of around 12kmph informed Odisha SRC Pradeep Jena. During the landfall wind speed will be 130-140 KMPH gusting to 155 KMPH along and off Bhadrak and Balasore districts said the IMD DG Dr. Mrutyunjay Mohapatra. Doppler radar at Paradip also spotted the eye of Cyclone Yaas. The radius of the 'Eye' is said to be 35 km.
