India new Covid-19 Cases
India on Wednesday recorded 1,32,788 new coronavirus cases and 3,207 deaths in the last 24 hours. With over 26,500 cases, Tamil Nadu was the biggest contributor to the country’s daily caseload. Active cases reduced by more than a lakh. The total number of active cases stands at about 17.93 lakh right now.
Whereas in Odisha on Wednesday registered its highest ever single-day Covid-19 toll with as many as 40 people succumbing to the virus while 8,399 new cases were reported across the state in the last 24 hours. At present, there is 87,220 active case in the State.
The country's Covid-19 recovery rate has been improving, though, with the number of cured patients per day continuing to outnumber new infections for nearly three weeks now. According to the Union ministry of health and family welfare, as many as 25,947,629 patients in India have recovered from Covid-19 till now, which accounts for a 92.09% recovery rate nationwide.
